TRANSFIGURATION

Have been thinking about the Transfiguration of Christ. This is just my thought on it so would be interested in others' feedback.

The three disciples stay a distance away from Christ while he prays. He then is seen with two other figures - they are surrounded by a glowing light and Jesus and the other two are glowing whiter than white.

The disciples say that Jesus is talking to Elijah and Moses.
When Jesus returns to the disciples who are waiting for him, the disciples mention to him about Elijah and Moses.
Jesus does not confirm this, nor does he deny it. Instead He tells his companions to keep quiet and not tell anyone about it until after his death.

Given that the disciples at that time did not understand or know of the Triune God, they assumed Jesus was talking to two previous prophets.

This was a time of great stress for Jesus. He knew he was about to stand trial, be tortured and bear the great and heavy burden of our sins. He prayed and was comforted and supported by two heavenly figures.

Could it be that what the disciples actually saw was the Triune God -- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit ?

300 Dead

The people of Victoria need prayers and hugs. Authorities believe 300 or more people have perished in the fires. Many people are unaccounted for, people are dying in hospitals from their burn. Sheep, cattle, horses, family pets, wildlife have perished.
How do you bring the Love of God to a firefighter who fought fires for days only to learn his wife and children perished in the same fire,
What do you say to the emergency officers who find the burnt bodies of 6 family members - mum, dad, kiddies - huddled together in a melted car because they were unable to outrace the fire?
How do you console the dad who saved one child from a burning house but unable to save another trapped inside?
Please pray for our grieving and crying nation.
